Here goes...

Because it's the New Year (almost) and everybody's doing it, I'm going to publish my intentions here, not only for 2011, but for this blog, as well.

1) I plan to devote at least two hours a week working on the shorties' baby books. My mom did a great job on mine and I love to look back at it, but I really have not put the work into it for my kids. I quit my job in advertising for "more time" for these types of things and I haven't really accomplished much on these books (aside from dropping pictures and other keepsakes in a giant plastic tote every now and then). For three years now, I've had "more time" and have yet to TOUCH the books. Won't make progress unless I actually start putting things into the books, right? Right.

2) I WILL lose weight this year. Last year I fluctuated 20 lbs. throughout the year (and even won the Y-Weigh Challenge hosted by our local YMCA), but I would like to be truly fit in my 30s and at least 20 lbs. down from where I currently stand. I'm not certain if I want to get back into running to commit to another half marathon, that's TBD still. I have a weight tracker spreadsheet created again and am borrowing my mom's treadmill for a few months (we dropped our Y membership in Aug.), so I will use this blog to keep you updated on this!

3) Another perennial intention here: Simplify. Each year I plan to overcome the clutter and we STILL have half of our garage cramped with STUFF. Even GT is in on this one with me...he said earlier today that one thing to accomplish in 2011 is to get rid of STUFF, so one of my next blog posts can outline that plan! Exciting read, I'm sure!

4) Save money. Save money. Save money. Spend less, etc. etc. etc. As recent graduates of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, GT and I are extremely ready to get this debt snowball rolling and things paid off ASAP. I will outline our plan in a future blog post and report back occasionally.

So...what about you all? Any big plans for 2011?
