After resting my left Achilles for 5 days in Week 2, I knew I had some catching up to do if I was going to continue striving for the 100-mile mark by Jan. 31. So, I'm learning to deal with the pain of the Achilles and just do the runs...I can rest in February, right?!
I left off after week two with just 41 miles...
Here's how Week 3 went for me:
Here's how Week 3 went for me:
Jan 17 - 5.15 (as you saw in my last post)
Jan 18 - 4.83
Jan 19 - 4.87
Jan 20 - 6.49
Jan 21 - 5.36
Jan 22 - 0 (skipped...we had people over to watch bball games and they stayed late...I wasn't going to start a run at 11 p.m. -- I'd have been up all night!)
Jan 23 - 6.36 miles
Total this week is 33.06 miles. Add that to my previous 41 miles and I have about 26 miles remaining for this last week (8 days)!
I already know I'm not running next Saturday, as we have family in town Fri-Sun, they will be using the spare bedroom and the treadmill will need to be put away.
I think I can manage to run Friday before they arrive and Sunday after they leave, so really, I only have 7 days left, which means I need to average 3.7 miles per day through next Monday, Jan. 31.
What an awesome feeling it is to be so close! I hope my body can keep up!
