It dawned on me while vacuuming today that GT and I need a reward for working off our excess weight...we both have wanted an iPad since the day it came out last year (well, I have, anyway), but with talk of iPad 2.0 being released this spring, it hit me: Lose our weight by Memorial Day, buy ourselves the iPad!!
Think we can do it? We have set our goals (he wants to lose 25 lbs, I want to lose 20), and we have almost 4 months to do it! We can only purchase the iPad IF we both meet our goals by Memorial Day...simple enough?!
I hope to chronicle our venture at least once a week, I can't imagine what I'm going to weigh in at tomorrow morning after everything I ate (and drank) tonight (we hosted our 8th annual Super Bowl party - ugh). BUT, it's only going to go down! I LOVE the feeling of being "normal" weight and after months of winter comfort cooking, I'm ready to be back down! The best motivation is to face what I've done to myself, right?
My plan is to 1) start off with 30-day Shred with Jillian Michaels and 2) eat well! I will attempt to keep track of everything I eat with the Lose it! app on my iPhone, I LOVE that thing, but it's so easy to eat badly and not want to report it...so the answer is just to eat healthfully, right?! After everything I ate today, I'm ready to NOT EAT ANYTHING...ugh, but I know skipping meals just leads to eating worse later! I'm queen of that, I'll tell ya!
So, this is it - official starting day February 7, 2011...iPad in hand(s) by June!! Let's do it!
